- The MT1887 is a 1500 V DC IP67 True RMS Bluetooth multimeter with built-in measurement functions, troubleshooting features, resolution, and accuracy to solve problems on power distribution, motor drives, electromechanical equipment, and plant automation. It sports a large 40 000 count back-lit LCD with the added advantage of a 41-segment analogue bar-graph.
This meter is designed for the solar industry and the DC voltage range measures up to 1500 V DC, ACV to 1000 V, it also computes microamps and amps, frequency, resistance, duty cycle, capacitance, and temperature measurements. With a double moulded rubber casing and an IP67 rating, the multimeter is waterproof and dustproof, and designed for heavy use in tough conditions. - The MT1885 True RMS Bluetooth multimeter is rated CAT IV 600V and is also designed for the solar industry and can measure up to 1500 V DC. It includes a 6000 count back-lit LCD with the added advantage of a 61-segment analogue bar-graph. It is able to accurately determine microamps and amps, frequency, resistance, duty cycle, capacitance, and temperature measurements. The MT1885 is rated IP67.
- The MT26 is a 600V AC/DC True RMS Bluetooth multimeter offering measurements of AC and DC voltage, AC and DC current, microamps and amps, frequency, resistance, duty cycle, capacitance, and temperature. The Low Z function has a low pass filter to eliminate errors caused by ‘ghost’ voltages. It includes a built-in LED flashlight for dimly lit areas and a tilt stand. The meter has a double moulded rubber case with an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating.
- The MT565 is a combination of a True RMS multimeter and an Insulation Continuity tester. The MT565 measures AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, microamps and amps, frequency, resistance, duty cycle, capacitance, and temperature, while the low pass filter can accurately measure variable frequency drive (VFD) signals.
The insulation tester offers 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V, and 1000 V ranges with an insulation resistance up to 5000 MΩ, DAR and Auto PI functions with adjustable time setting and an auto discharge. It has a 50 000 count LCD dual display with an analogue bar graph, and the CAT IV 600V rating ensures the highest level of safety. - The MT1005 1000 V AC/DC TRMS (True Root Mean Square) Bluetooth multimeter with a TFT colour LCD display, provides fast A/D converting sampling time, high accuracy, built-in data logging and Trend Capture features. It is able to compute microamps and amps, frequency, resistance, duty cycle, capacitance, and temperature measurements, and can trace any interruptions of equipment and record events automatically, unattended. It holds a CAT IV 600V rating and comes in a rugged double moulded rubber housing design.
Meter-X from Major Tech
Far from the days of having to record electrical measurements on paper and then take them back to the office to draw up a report, the above-mentioned multimeters from Major Tech are equipped with Bluetooth communications. This means readings can automatically be sent to a mobile device (Apple or Android) with Meter-X installed and recorded in real time. It allows for data collection from up to seven meters.
Meter-X is easy to use with a friendly user interface and the ability to display trends in real time, either in a graphical or numeric format. Users can even set high or low alarm thresholds which, if reached, will push onscreen messages to the user’s smartphone with the relevant data and timestamps.
