The K3123 is a High Voltage Insulation tester that is a tough, rugged meter designed and manufactured to read accurate measurements in harsh environments. This model is gasket sealed to prevent ingress of liquids and dust and is supplied with a water resistant, heavy duty case. This Major Tech HV insulation tester is ideal for heavy duty maintenance and servicing of industrial installations, cables, transformers, generators and switchgear. The K3123 is supplied with appropriate leads for connecting to the earthed and conducting points of the circuit under test. The rated output voltage is maintained down to 0,1% of the tester?s full scale resistance, permitting accurate measurements of even low insulation resistance. This instrument is simple to use with the analogue dual scales being colour coded into high and low resistance ranges, which change automatically and have matching LED?s which illuminate to indicate which range is operative. An integral guard circuitry has been built into the K3123 to eliminate the measurement error introduced by surface leakage currents. Other features include a lock-down test button for safe and continuous measurement of insulation resistance. This meter is designed for low power consumption, and can permit up to six hours of continuous operation on maximum load or up to twelve hours on minimum load.
The K3123 has a 5000V DC test voltage range and is able to measure insulation resistance up to 200G? and a 10 000V DC test voltage range that is able to measure insulation resistance up to 400G?.
