Details

The MT587 is a CAT IV 600V CAT III 1000V Digital High Voltage Tester with measurements from 500V DC to 15kV DC, with increments of 50V on each range up to 10kV and thereafter in increments of 100V, and will automatically discharge the circuit after the test has been completed. Using the range buttons switches, 6 preset ranges of 500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5000V, 10kV and 15kV can be selected, with an insulation resistance up to 50TΩ. The microprocessor controlled MT587 has the capabilities of being a diagnostic tool and is intended for testing insulation on Rotating Machines, Transformers, Cables, High Voltage Generators, Electric Circuits and Surge Arrestors as the short circuit current output is up to 6mA.  It has the function of measuring Absorption Ratio and Polarization Index of AC voltage and DC voltage. 500 test measurement results can be saved in the memory of the meter and recalled onto the LCD display. The large backlit LCD display indicates the readings of insulation, measuring time, output voltage and output current. The MT577 can measure AC up to 750V and DC voltage up to 1000V, DCA up to 6mA and Capacitance up to 50µA, and is housed in a robust case ideal for extended field use, powered by 12.6V rechargeable 1.5V batteries. Stored data can be transferred to a PC using an optical USB and software supplied.
